Great Gatsby Inspired Wedding - White, Butter Yellow and Grey

Timeless. Sophisticated.1920's Vintage. It's true glamour inspired by the classic novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald - one of my personal favorites from school. The fabulous Gloria from Grand Engagements styled this shoot, and I am still swooning over the gorgeous images from Gavin Wade. Since this was Gloria's decadent creation, I am going to share her words describing the style of the shoot with you...because I really couldn't say it better myself.

"Old mixed with new is a favorite equation of mine. It is not just vintage, not your borrowed or something new, it is a little more than that...it is about style. Create a modern wedding inspired by The Great Gatsby with a hint of Southern twist is just that; glamorous, sophisticated and modern."

"Our inspiration included the subtle shades of powder blue & butter cream yellow because the home had such a open garden setting. When it came to flowers, I envisioned a whimsical garden style with their enchanting secret garden gates. Everything had a glowing and airy feel to it yet had such a radiance about it. I wanted to make sure everything was balanced and that when you look at the pictures you felt that you could envision yourself there in the moment, enjoying lemonade, playing croquet and chasing butterflies. The styling was all about going back in a moment of time and almost reliving the past, but better. The croquet balanced the freedom that this era was all about. An additional key ingredient was the 1927 All American Packard that brought the 20’s back to life."

I created her bridal bouquet with a mix of snowy white and cream flowers. We used white peonies, white china mums, garden roses, ranunculas, and lisianthis, lightly accented with greenery for a soft touch. The stems were wrapped in white ruffled trim ribbon and finished with a vintage pearl brooch.

The centerpieces were created with soft white, cream and butter yellow flowers, lightly accented with greenery and placed in mint julep cups. We used white china mums, peonies, garden roses, lisianthis, ranunculas, stock and veronicas for a whimsical, vintage garden flair.

I love China Mums, and used them throughout this shoot. They have this perfect, ruffled look that no other flower can compete with. I also like their coloring, a butter yellow shade in the center, that fades into a cream, then ends with a soft white. They are such a classic flower that is really coming back, and I couldn't be happier.

After all, everything "old" is new again... n'est - ce pas?

Urban Chic and Latin American Fusion Wedding Inspiration with Succulents

This is an uber fabulous photo shoot I have been holding in my files for far too long... It's our urban Mayan inspired shoot in shades of purple, lavender and greens with accents of rustic brown.The photo shoot was held at the Maya Hotel in Long Beach - a true hidden gem!!

For the center of the table we use pieces of grapewood, sheet moss and orchids as well as succulents.

We used fuchsia phaeo orchids, green cymbidium orchids, protea, burgundy mini calla lilies, lavender parrot tulips, blue and purple hydrangea as well as rolled tiger striped ti leaves. The flowers were clustered and color blocked with lots of texture and movement.

sTORIbook Weddings - Shabby Chic at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu and SteamPunk Wedding at The Edison in Los Angeles

It has been almost a year since we were fortunate enough to work on Tori Spelling's special wedding series - sTORIbook Weddings. We were honored to work on 4 out of the 8 weddings Tori and Dean created for their couples. In this post, I am sharing more pictures from our beautiful Shabby Chic wedding (which you can also visit this post for details galore) and the Steampunk wedding at The Edison in Los Angeles.

Since it was December and the sunset earlier, the walkways were lit with mason jar candles... so pretty!!

Guests carried candles in mason jars to the reception...

We used thousands of daisy heads to line the aisle. Erienne LOVES daisies, so they were used throughout the ceremony and reception. The fabulous vintage pieces were provided by Found Vintage Rentals.

Dean escorted Erienne across the lake in a boat with a custom decal and daisy wreath. Dreamy...

A silhouette artist entertained guests during the cocktail hour, one copy went into a guestbook and the guests were able to keep a copy.

Before the ceremony, guests took a strawberry basket filled with daisy blooms to toss after the couple said I do...

And now onto the Steampunk wedding Tori and Dean designed for Sarena and Eric. I was not familiar with Steampunk before I received Tori's email. It was so interesting to learn about the Steampunk style and create something a little out of the ordinary for this lucky couple. The wedding was held at The Edison in Los Angeles, which could not have been a more perfect location for this style.

The ceremony decor was kept simple, yet striking with a lush red rose petal runner leading up the stage with the dramatic red curtains and chandelier. Candles and small floral clusters were added to dress up the stage as well.

Each calla lily boutonniere was accented with a black feather and clock pieces for a steampunk flair.

Sarena's bouquet was created with black magic roses, dark burgundy calla lilies, accented with a collar of black feathers. What you can't see from the picture, is the handle treatment - we created a custom wrap corset piece with leather and lace.

The bridesmaids' bouquets were created with dark burgundy calla lilies, and wrapped with black faux snakeskin leather pieces.

For the centerpieces, we used eclectic vintage pieces and filled them with a mix of dark red and purple flowers accented with black feather plumes. We used purple stock, lisianthis and anemones as well as black magic roses.

Tori and Dean also hired performers for the cocktail hour - it was a very Cirque du Soleil performance.

We also have two more weddings two share, two of my personal favorites... An Indian wedding extravaganza and an over the top Marie Antoinette affair!!!

Jasmine Star Workshop - Fun Flirty and Fresh Spring Bridal Bouquet

Once again, I was honored and excited when the amazing Jasmine Star asked me to create a bouquet for her workshop. It is ALWAYS a pleasure working with Jasmine and JD, they are honestly two of the most sincere and kind people I have met. And it doesn't hurt that she is super talented with a keen eye for stylish photography. For this workshop, the style was fun and romantic filled with fresh spring blooms.

Stacy and Joe could not have been more perfect for this fun and flirty wedding shoot!!

The bouquet was a delicious mix of ranunculas, peonies, garden roses, parrot tulips, lilac and poppies in shades of light pink, lavender, soft white, peach and accented with greenery. LOVE.

I used single peach poppy bloom for the boutonniere, accented with dusty miller. The stem was wrapped in lace to coordinate the bouquet.

Romantic and Glamorous Malibu Beach Wedding

I loved working with Kim on her wedding!! She was a rhinestone gluing diva, and we quickly bonded over our love for things that sparkle and details. Kim and Emery were married at the Malibu Nature Preserve, a truly breathtaking venue overlooking the pacific ocean with a touch of rustic elegance. Kim loves the color pink, orchids and crystals, which you can definitely see throughout the wedding details. We added a splash of orange for color and seashell conches were also incorporated to tie in Kim and Emery's love of the ocean.

We used a pink cymbidium orchid, orange spray roses, a galax leaf backing and a little rhinestone bling for Emery's boutonniere.

Kim found the rhinestone starfish brooches online and added them to her hot pink heels!!

The ceremony was set with a beautiful Malibu back drop of the Pacific ocean. The frame for the ceremony featured roses, hydrangea, orchids and rolled ti leaves... with hanging crystals.

Pearls, Lace and Pink Garden Wedding Inspiration for Utterly Engaged Magazine

I was beyond thrilled when Katie of Intertwined Events asked us to collaborate on an inspiration shoot for Utterly Engaged Magazine. If you are not familiar with UE, it's an online e-zine for brides to be and the wedding industry. The theme of the issue was Sweet and Spicy. So Katie and Meghan designed a photo shoot that takes the bride and groom from their wedding day to their wedding night... all in good taste of course! And be sure to see the full article in Issue #15 of Utterly Engaged Magazine, our feature begins on page 122... Our florals for this shoot were soft, romantic and garden inspired in shades of blush pink accented with pearls. LOVE!!

Yellow and Grey Modern Beach Wedding with Rustic and Metallic Accents

We loved Stacey and Colton's wedding!! Their style was so clean and sleek. Stacey is from Southern California and Colton is from Idaho, for their wedding they wanted to combine the beach with rustic accents in homage to their home states. The perfect location was the Ocean Institute in Dana Point. Gianna Smith SanFilippo of Chic Celebrations designed the fresh and sleek wedding so perfectly. We started with a clean white, yellow and grey color palette, with accents of metallic silver lanterns and rustic wood pieces. The end result was simple, fresh and elegant... And I am so grateful for the amazing images by the amazing Ashley Rose. Her style is so clean and classic, love it!!

Their gorgeous wedding was also featured on Style Me Pretty's new Southern California Blog!! We are so honored to be featured on such a stylish wedding blog!!!

Stacey and Colton are such a gorgeous couple!!

We have been doing this wrist corsage for years now, ever since the stylish Ms. Carrie Bradshaw rocked it on Sex and the City. It's a fresh take on the traditional corsage. And it was perfect for this little junior bridesmaid... we dressed up the single white rose with accents of yellow and pewter ribbon.

A fun fact about Stacey and her family, there were three sets of twins in the bridal party. Stacey has a twin sister, they also have another set of twin sisters, and one of her twin sisters had twins!!!

Stacey's bridal bouquet was created with white freesia, hydrangea, lisianthis, roses, and ranunculas. The stems were banded with white satin ribbon, finished with a band of pewter ribbon and a starburst rhinestone brooch.

I loved their ceremony decor, in lieu of traditional floral stands or arch, they opted to use a long table draped in crisp white linens. We then added metallic lanterns, white tulip arrangements in coordinating metallic containers, with a lush all white floral arrangement in a rustic wooden box. The final touch was the yellow pomander balls. Fresh, clean and beautiful!!!

I am having a mad love affair with china mums... they are one flower way overlooked. They have layers upon layers of ruffled petals which create gorgeous blooms!! I use them whenever and wherever I can. And they are really affordable.

Each table featured one rustic wooden box, with a metallic silver lantern with a candle, the base was accented with fresh yellow acacia and ranunculas blooms. Then we surrounded the box with four metallic silver containers filled with monochromatic floral arrangements. We used white tulips, white hydrangea, white china mums and roses. The finishing touch was the yellow button mum pomander balls... and the rustic table numbers created by Gianna.

The cake could not have been more perfect, each tier was accented with metallic silver band - so striking!

Jasmine Star Workshop - Gold Modern Dior Wedding Inspiration

It has been a whirlwind month filled with weddings, events, press, tv appearance and trips... I have a lot to catch up on to say the least! I have gorgeous weddings, inspiration shoots and events to blog... In the meantime, here are some images of floral designs we created for one of Jasmine Star's famous workshops...

Back in January, we created these centerpieces and bouquet for Jasmine's workshop. For the centerpieces, we used a variety of succulents, hydrangea, kale rolled ti leaves, and phaeo orchids. The arrangements were created in silver containers,
finished with a sparkly ribbon and a sequin star ; )

We love Jasmine, she is warm, welcoming and buzzing with inspiration. See here for another workshop post...

The inspiration board for the workshop, which set the vibe for the shoot, was sleek and gold with a modern Dior twist. Because the shoot was more high style, I created the bouquet to be a chic, eye catching accessory.

I wanted the bouquet to be small so it wouldn't be overwhelming, yet chic and divine. I used over four dozen white mini calla lilies, with a collar of gilded galax leaves. The stems were banded with gold metallic ribbon, accented with a black lace band. The handle treatment was finished with a piece of gilded bear grass, and a metallic gold brooch.

For the boutonniere, we used a mini white calla lily, accented with gilded bear grass loops. The stem was wrapped in coordinating gold metallic ribbon and a touch of black lace. Love!!!

Dylan and Chrisoula are just perfection - and the dress by Quail is stunning!!

Spanish Bridal Fashion with Mexican Wedding Inspiration - Papel Picado and Succulents

In celebration of the Cinco de Mayo holiday, I am proud to finally blog the GORGEOUS photo shoot we collaborated on with some seriously talented people. When Jen of Green Wedding Shoes blog created this inspiration board last year for Cinco de Mayo, I knew I had to bring it to life. It was a modern twist on a traditional Mexican wedding theme with soft pastel colors in lieu of the expected bright colors.

None of this would have been possible without the genius and creatively talented photographer Stephanie Williams of This Modern Romance. She is by far, one of my favorite photographers. Her images are classic, timeless and stunning. Not only did Stephanie and Isaac photograph the shoot, but they also helped style the bride and location. Love them so much!!

Without further ado, I present to you our Spanish Bridal Fashion + Mexican Pastel photo shoot for your wedding inspiration...

The bridal bouquet was created with succulents, ambiance roses, ranunculus, tuberose, garden roses and coffee bean berries in shades of coral, peach, pina colada and teal green.

The fabulous ladies from Posh Paperie created these adorable dulce brown bags that we filled with traditional party favor goodies and candies.

I adore these papel picado flags, meant to be waved as the bride and groom pass by...

Jen of Green Wedding Shoes did an amazing job styling the models. Gorgeous!

I wanted to do something fresh and different to go along with our whole shoot concept, so I brought in Jarritos bottles in coordinating shades. And before you go in search of the pink Jarritos, they do not exist. I searched for over a week in various stores until I finally realized they don't make a pink shaded drink. In order to achieve the pink shade, I emptied out the majority of the soda, then added in water. Ta Da!! I also love how Jen styled this table, so fun!

I wanted to do something fresh and different for the table scape, so I used clear cylinder vases and succulents for the centerpiece. Each cylinder was filled with dry pinto beans, then I used a variety of different succulents such as mini cactus and echeveria. I also incorporated a little more color with fresh open roses clustered around the base of pillar candles in terra cotta holders.

Jeni from {found} vintage rentals provided the beautiful wooden table. The chairs and table could not have been more fitting for this shoot. We draped soft coral material with a lace runner overlay. The look was clean and modern.

After searching for weeks for the perfect plates, I finally found them at Target. The cool flatware came from Classic Party Rentals.

LOVE - so fresh and clean. A breath of fresh air...

I wrapped the stems with a soft peach ribbon and lace, then finished it was a twine treatment. The perfect finishing touch was the authentic milagro from Reign Trading.

Mexican Hot Chocolate and all desserts were provided by the fabulous Veronica of Summit Catering!! Love the presentation and the originality of this dessert table... its not your traditional cupcake and candy display.

Erica did an AMAZING job with the cake. Her fondant papel picado and succulents were so perfectly created they looked real!! This cake was even more stunning in person!! Love Erica O'Brien Cake Design, you must visit her website.

Once again, {found} vintage rental's fabulous pieces helped complete this photo shoot... I wanted to take all of the pieces home with me. I adore their warehouse of treasures.

This shoot was perfection... from beginning to end. I enjoyed every minute of it and am so proud to have been part of such an amazing collaboration with so many talented people. Royal Wedding Bridal Shower - Yellow and Blue Wedding Inspiration

I was thrilled when the one and only Jenn, (THE Hostess of the Mostess) asked me to do floral arrangements for a Royal Wedding inspired photo shoot for the TV Guide Channel.

As I blog this beautiful photo shoot designed by Jenn, I am watching the Royal Wedding. Kate is so stunning, and Wills is dashing and handsome, everything a real life prince and princess should be!!! I am in love with their love... How could I not have jumped into the Royal Wedding mania?? And now, I am pleased to share our photo shoot, with a Royal Wedding Bridal Shower theme...

We used beautiful yellow blooms for the centerpieces... That lush burst of sunshine is created with china mums, ranunculus, daffodils, billy balls, carnations, roses, mums, tulips and calla lilies...

We created yellow button mum and cushion mum pomanders for the tea cups - so whimsical!!

I love the contrast of the bright yellow and the deep sapphire blue... The gold chivari chairs are not only elegant but CLASSIC.

Our modern day fairytale.I am sure he made his mama, our beloved Princess Diana, very proud today...

sTORIbook Weddings - Tori and Dean's Shabby Chic Wedding - Behind the Scenes!!

We actually had posted this blog back in December, but we were politely asked to remove it until the show aired... We taped 4 out of the 8 shows of Tori and Dean's sTORIbook Weddings. We were honored when after creating our first wedding (shabby chic) with Tori and Dean, they asked us to finish the season with them!! We are still waiting on professional images from the photographer to share with you, but in the meantime, here are some behind the scenes images we snapped. Due to the time frame of the show, there is not enough time to show all of the details we worked so hard on. This wedding had so MANY details, and we are only sharing some of them here with you.... Enjoy!!

We used lace wrapped candles everywhere. The main flower of the wedding was the white daisy, because that is Erienne's favorite flower.

However, we also incorporated many pink peony blooms.

Jeni's fabulous vanity was used near the photo taking area. We filled the drawers with white daisies and accented the top with eclectic vintage pieces and lush light blue hydrangea in white milk glass.

Another shabby chic element we used were strands of pearls tucked into floral arrangements.

I really love the outdoor space at Calamigos Ranch, it is so magical and cozy. Tori created so many different lounge areas and vignettes that helped make the reception more intimate for the guests. In lieu of traditional round tables, there was lounge sitting and one long wooden table.

This dress form from {Found} was a special surprise for the bride because her mom is a tailor and actually made her wedding dress!! Initially, Tori wanted us to cover the form with daisies, however it turned out we all liked the chic alternative of a daisy belt and corsage.

LOVED all of the different vignettes created with the vintage furniture. It really completed the shabby chic look.

We had clusters of fresh flowers everywhere!! It really finished the vignettes and lounge areas. We created clusters with light blue and white hydrangea, peonies and daisies in various eclectic containers, mason jars and milk glass pieces from Tori's own personal collection.

This was the adorable photo taking area where guests could sit and pose for the photographer. Then the pictures were attached to a board as a keepsake for Erienne and Jeremy.

These are some of the frames we saw Dean create on the show. Some of them were used as decor on the entrance table. LOVE!!!

Erienne did not like the green carpet, so Tori and Dean had the whole inside done in white carpet. It was truly stunning and completely changed the room. They also added material to the walls. The different shabby chic fabrics and vintage furniture looked stunning in the room!

The candles on the fireplace really added to the ambiance of the evening...

Tori is involved with every little detail of the wedding, including last minute furniture changes...

One of their comfort food stations, love the french fry cones!!

Melody of Sweet and Saucy Shop did an AMAZING job on the dessert table. Serious eye candy!! And I love how the cake coordinated with Erienne's two dresses.

And this is what it really looks like behind the scenes... the camera and production crew shooting the last details before the guests arrive. It was a fun and exciting experience!!

That's me in the background putting the finishing touches on our table scape while Tori adjusts the microphones.

Tori came up with this idea to create French market style bunches of daisies for the guests to take home as a favor. There was also a tag attached to each bunch letting the guests know, a donation was made on their behalf to a charity.

Summer Wedding with Tommy Bahamas Flair - Fullerton Wedding Florist

We loved Anna and Eduardo's summer wedding... The style was crisp, cool and clean. Or the style was as Eduardo would say, "Tommy Bahamas boinks Ralph Lauren". We incorporated flowers in shades of soft butter yellow, mango, tangerine, and celadon with pops of dark green foliage.
Anna envisioned a wedding day where all of their friends and family would come dressed casually, dance and celebrate their love.

Anna's bridal bouquet was created with butter yellow stock, mango calla lilies, green cymbidium orchids, ivory roses, and orange cymbidium orchids.

Probably my favorite pair of shoes ever!! Anna actually bought them in Vegas on her bachelorette weekend trip with the money she won gambling. Talk about lucky shoes ; )

Her son who was also the ring bearer, carried a wooden box with rolled ti leaves, accented with cymbidium orchids and a little bed of moss for the rings.

And the flower girl carried a smaller, coordinating wooden box filled with fresh flowers.

The ceremony decor featured a custom built wooden frame, adorned with hanging rose pomanders, strings of white dendrobium orchids and crystal stands. We used sheer white flowy material to soften the frame.

The aisle was lined with rectangle wooden boxes filled with white hydrangea accented with monstera leaves and rolled ti leaves for a tropical flair.

Eduardo's boutonniere was created with a single mango calla lily, accented with tiny rolled ti leaves. I prefer to wrap the stem in ribbon because it gives the boutonniere a more finished look.

The centerpieces were created with orchids, dahlias, hydrangea, calla lilies and roses. We created a mix of high and low centerpieces to give the room more depth.

Rustic Wood With a Modern Metallic Edge - Wedding Inspiration

We were thrilled when Katie Webb, one half of the fabulous duo behind Intertwined Events, asked us to collaborate on this original shoot. The inspiration behind this styled shoot combined the rustic elements of woods with the modern edge or mirrors and metals, with splashes of purple.

Jessica was absolutely stunning! We created the bouquet with purple hydrangea, purple lisianthis, cream balsa wood flowers, and accented with an angel vine collar.

The stems were banded with pewter satin ribbon, with a twine handle treatment,

and finished with a little bling... a sunburst rhinestone brooch.

I love how Katie added the purple argyle socks to the groom's attire.

For the boutonniere, we used a single balsa wood flower, accented with angel vine.

The stem was finished in pewter satin ribbon.

The table design combined all of the elements. The table runner was created using faux wood tiles, set on a grey burlap linen. The centerpieces were created in mirrored square vessels filled with vibrant purple hydrangea. The table design also featured grape wood branches accented with balsa wood flowers. Slim cylinders with floating candles were banded with twine and accented with a rhinestone studded sunburst brooch.

I love the contrast of the stainless steel charger, wooden plate, purple napkin and the metallic sunburst.

Erica O'Brien is an insanely talented cake designer, I simply adore her and her work. She used a pillow as the inspiration for the center cake. It looked so realistic, I could not believe it was all edible and made out of fondant!!

Love Succulently - A Modern Winery Wedding {Part 2} Santa Ynez

And so the Love (Succulently) story continues... Bianca wanted all white flowers at the ceremony because her name Bianca Flor means white flower in Spanish. For the ceremony decor, we used a clean and modern collection of vases filled with stems of white hydrangea. We placed some of the vases on rustic wine barrels to complete the look, and we also incorporated white pomanders and large succulent blooms into the design.

Found Vintage Rentals provided the amazing pews for the ceremony. The pews completely transformed the winery courtyard and helped complete Bianca's vision. At the end of each pew, we placed a wooden box filled with white hydrangea and succulents. The center of the aisle was created with vintage carpets Bianca collected from various thrift stores.

The lovely Jasmine played the dual part of photographer and maid of honor seamlessly...

Because Bob Marley's music played such an important part in Matt and Bianca's relationship, they hired a musician to play his songs during the ceremony.

I adore how their family and close friends shared in their happiness with lots of love and laughter...

Jasmine's bouquet was created with ivory roses, white lisianthis, gardenias, succulents and accented with brasilia berries. The bouquet handle was wrapped with chocolate brown satin ribbon and accented with the same beaded gold chain link trim as Bianca.

Another fabulous Found find is this riddling rack. We used the riddling rack as an "escort card table". The holes were filled with an assortment of wine bottles, sheet moss, dahlia blooms, ivory roses, and succulents.

Bianca wanted each table to feature a collection of various eclectic pieces and floral arrangements. We used various vessels and gold candlesticks found at local thrift stores. As well as wooden boxes accented with fabric trim.

Bianca also created drink stirrers printed with their wedding "logo" for their custom drinks.

The napkin treatment was one of my favorite parts of the table... I love the contrast of the merlot napkin with brown and gold fabric trim against the pop of green from the echeveria bloom.

Not a single detail was overlooked for their sweetheart's table from the brushed gold votive candles to the succulents tucked into wooden containers.

And they lived... happily ever after...xoxo

Love Succulently {Part 1} Santa Barbara Wedding

To say that I am a fan of Jasmine Star is an understatement. To say I am a fan of her twin sister Bianca is another understatement. I was absolutely honored to help create the design and flowers for Bianca and Matt's wedding this past September. I have never worked on a wedding before that held so much meaning in all of the details. I truly believe that LOVE is in the details and was over the moon that Bianca felt the same way. Bianca and Matt's wedding theme was Love Succulently and I really couldn't describe it better than Bianca...

"Love Succulently was the theme created for our wedding. My full name means white flower, which represents love. Matt is reminiscent of a succulent; layered, intricate, understated, and enduring. The theme was a natural manifestation of who we are. To accent our day, we had eclectic vintage pieces throughout the ceremony and reception representing timeless love and enduring faith. Mixed with modern décor elements, the event played off the design elements of our ceremony and reception location. Our colors were vanilla, chocolate, merlot, and sage."

This has to be one of my favorite bridal bouquets of all time, Bianca's bouquet was a lush and delicious mix of merlot peonies, burgundy dahlias, ivory garden roses, gardenias, white lisianthis, gray and green brasilia berries, as well as echeveria succulents in shades of gray and green. The stems were banded with ivory satin ribbon and accented with an ornate gold chain link pattern trim.

And her shoes, were BEAUTIFUL.... I really really want these shoes.

The ring bearer's box was created with an assortment of succulents, accented with moss in a rustic brown wooden box with a brown and gold metallic trim.

In lieu of a basket, we created a flower girl purse filled with succulents, accented

with pearls and ivory satin ribbon.

I have to share Bianca and Matt's wedding invitation because I love it and I think it is so important to set the tone of your wedding. Their invitation was printed on custom designed wine labels and delivered in hand stained wooden boxes.

We were so blessed to work with such an amazing team of talented women. Angel and Anna of Events of Love and Splendor are amazing wedding coordinators and event designers!! Not only did they keep the day flowing seamlessly, but they are so detailed and organized. Another amazing duo, Jeni and Allison of Found Vintage Rentals. Found has the most amazing rentals as well as the most amazing prop stylists. Their rentals helped complete Bianca and Matt's wedding vision.

I love how Bianca explained the meaning behind the "Love Succulently" theme as well as the reason for the meaning of Bob Marley's songs in their relationship on the programs that were provided for guests as they entered the pre-ceremony cocktail area.

Bianca and Matt asked their family members for wedding photos to display on a large over sized farm house table provided by Found. We used old wooden boxes, gold candlesticks and other eclectic pieces as accents as well as a variety of fresh succulents.

There are so many more details and beautiful images to share that I am breaking one breathtaking wedding into two posts... So stay tuned for the ceremony and reception post!!!. In the meantime, Bianca and Matt's wedding was also featured on Style Me Pretty... in two parts as well!!!

Heavenly Holidays {Tiffany Blue, White and Metallic Inspiration}

I am so excited and proud to share one of our recent photo shoots with you!! I have been a fan of Kim, the designer behind TomKat Studiofor a loooong time now. And we have been wanting to work together on a shoot, so when I came across the gorgeous inspiration board by the brilliant Kathryn of Snippet and Ink, I knew it was perfect for us....

We worked with so many insanely talented ladies... Gianna with Chic Celebrations helped me pull the whole look together, I would have been seriously lost without her. Melody with Sweet and Saucy Shop did the AMAZING dessert display. Her creations never cease to amaze me and they are delicious!!! Eng with Glow Concepts provided the beautiful crushed satin linens as well as the gorgeous sequined covered stools. And last but certainly not least, the uber talented Drew B took the photos of our shoot. Drew is a pro at shooting children and making people feel comfortable in front of her lens. I have been a fan of hers for quite a while now and it was so fun to see her in action. She is so kind, friendly and her work really speaks for itself - BEAUTIFUL!!! The shoot was held at the Summit House in Fullerton, a very popular wedding venue here in Orange County. Carmen was so kind to let us take over her venue and such a fabulous host. And now, without further ado, our Heavenly Holidays photo shoot... A winter wonderland inspired dream, with shades of muted tiffany blue, with soft accents of gold and silver...

My own little Kate was a model, I was so proud of her!!

I love the table setting, it was so clean and fresh. The plates are from Z Gallerie, they couldn't have been more perfect for our shoot.

The dreamy white floral arrangement was created with peonies, garden roses, hydrangea and lisianthis.

We are definitely making a list and checking it twice, because the HOLIDAYS are upon us. Yesterday, we had so much fun designing a holiday themed photo shoot based on this Snippet and Ink board, with a FABULOUS team of vendors. Autumn Sophistication Wedding Inspiration

Wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy Thanksgiving! We are so grateful for our clients, friends and family... without them we wouldn't be able to do what we love everyday. May your holiday be blessed with laughter, love and yummy food....

And we also have some delicious Thanksgiving eye candy for you...We are so pleased to share our gorgeous photo shoot we did with Gavin Wade and Gianna SanFilippo last month. Our inspiration board was from the ever fabulous Kathryn of Snippet and Ink. The style was clean and cozy with a sophisticated autumn touch. The colors we incorporated into the table decor included a maple sugar caramel, taupe and warm white with hints of wood.

Love Briana's cozy scarf....perfection!!!

For the tablescape, we create a long centerpiece created with taupe Sahara roses, cream Vendela roses, Amelia roses, over sized balsa wood flowers, white hydrangea, pumpkin chrysanthemums, wood flowers and fresh liquid amber leaves.

Brandon's boutonniere was created with a Sahara rose, accented with a skeleton leaf and a single liquid amber leaf. The stem was wrapped in a bronze ribbon for a finished look...

clean, simple and elegant.

Briana's bridal bouquet was created with lush cream garden roses, taupe Sahara roses, balsa wood flowers, white hydrangea and accented with cream skeleton leaves. The bouquet was finished with a collar of fresh liquid amber leaves.

We used a cream burlap runner as a base. The table was also accented with fresh mini white pumpkins, loose liquid amber leaves and candles.

Alysha and Johnny {Trump National Golf Course Wedding}

Classic and timeless with a whimsical twist was the style of this wedding. Alysha and Johnny wanted the decor to fit the elegance of the Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes but with a young, fresh flair. The wedding color palette; cream, snowy white, sky blue and chocolate brown...

A classic bridal bouquet created with Sahara roses and white hydrangea, with a soft collar of feathers for a little drama. The stems were banded with white satin ribbon and finished with a heirloom brooch.

The bridesmaids wore gorgeous floor length sky blue dresses accented with a chocolate brown sash and flower. Their bouquets were created with a variety of roses such as Sahara, Creme de la Creme, Amelia and Vendela, as well as mini white calla lilies and brasilia berries.

It was such an honor working with the Wheeler family again, we also did the floral decor for Alysha's sister, Tiffany three years ago. This time she played the part of maid of honor...

A common trend in weddings has been the addition of women to the Groom's side and vice versa. And I must say, I love it. I think it is amazing that the bride and groom's true friends, whether it be a man or woman, are being able to stand by them (literally) on such an important day in their lives. Johnny's groomswomen wore hair pieces and chic floral bracelets created with open Sahara roses, accented with feathers.

We have named this our "Carrie" wristlet, and it has been one of our most

popular floral accessory for years... it's fun, fresh and stylish.

The custom designed white aisle was lined with hanging floral chandeliers on shepard's hooks. The floral chandeliers were created with roses, hydrangea and accented with white feathers.

Alysha is a professional dancer and entertainer. So she incorporated so many personal details into the wedding...from a perfectly choreographed "Dancing with the Stars" first dance, a musically filled reception including dance troupes and a ballerina on pointe during the ceremony

(just to name a few)...

And she was one of my favorite elements about this wedding... a ballerina went down the aisle

on pointe before Alysha made her grand entrance.

The ceremony frame was covered with fresh white blossoms and hanging candles.

For the centerpieces we used white, ivory and soft blue flowers with a

punch of chartreuse for a fresh and fun flair.

The tall centerpieces were created with light blue and white hydrangea, ivory roses, white phaeo orchids, accented with green dianthis and hanging amaranths. The cylinder was filled with stems of white dendrobium orchids and accented with a band of sky blue ribbon. The tables were dressed with chocolate brown satin linens, with a fresh accent of sky blue linens.

The other centerpiece style was created using cylinders filled with submerged white flowers such as tulips, orchids and roses. The base of the cylinders was accented with little sky blue ribbon wrapped vases filled with white hydrangea.

And now for their first dance... "The Lovers" Alysha and Johnny choreographed their first dance with a taped opening a la "Dancing with the Stars"... I adore these shots of the bride and groom in action. So fun and true to their character and style!!!

And for the grand finale, yes that is Alysha, the bride... spinning across the dance floor doing the death drop in her bridal gown. LOVE IT!!!

Eye Candy {Peacock and Autumn Inspired Bridal Bouquet}

A little fall inspired eye candy for you all... peacock feathers have been the wedding rage for quite some time now. So, I decided to add a little twist to the ordinary and incorporate the infamous feathers with soft ivory and cream flowers, accented with a pop of cinnamon brown cymbidium orchids and gorgeous green succulents that made an elegant yet striking combination.

We also added an angel vine collar around the base of the

bouquet for a little something something.

The stems were banded with milk chocolate satin ribbon and adorned with a

delicious ornate gold trim for a little bling.

And of course, a boutonniere to match.

Whimsical and Vintage Chic Teddy Bear and Daisy theme First Bithday Party

Meet Ella Grace. We celebrated her 1st birthday back in June and it was lovely. Just lovely. Ella is our bear cub, she is cuddly, soft and playful. I adore her, every single adorable ounce of her. Her dimpled smile can melt all the world's troubles away in an instant. She makes life sweeter. And I could go on and on and on about how wonderful and blessed we are to have her in our lives... instead I will share her day with you all!!

Our inspiration came from this board created by the AMAZING Kathryn of Snippet and Ink. Every time I see one of her boards, I want to bring it to life. You MUST check her gorgeous blog for fresh and fabulous inspiration. Yes, her blog is geared towards weddings, however I found my inspiration for Ella's birthday within one of her heavenly inspiration boards... further proof that inspiration can come from anywhere. It doesn't have to be a cookie cutter event.

And now for the party details... I scoured the internet looking for darling teddy bear themed birthday parties. Sadly, I could not find ONE. Not one single party done stylishly. Thus it was my goal to create a chic teddy bear birthday party with a fresh, vintage flair. Why teddy bears? Because Ella is our little teddy bear, our real life bear cub, so it only seemed fitting that her first birthday be about her. For her older sister Kate's birthday, it was all about pink, glitter and fun girly decor because that is Kate's personality. Ella is an old soul with a fun, playful side and a laid back personality. She can be as mischievous as she is sweet. And she loves teddy bears!

Keeping with tradition, Ella's mommy custom made her birthday hat in coordinating material.

A little vignette we setup at the entrance with various pictures of Ella in frames.

We used teddy bears that Ella, Kate and Charlie already owned. They weren't matchy matchy and it worked better that way adding a little more whimsy to the decor. Each teddy bear was accented with a handmade flower or with a bow in coordinating material and colors.

Love these poppies in an antique apothecary bottle!!!

We hung white lanterns accented with colorful butterflies from the tree as well as flowing peach ribbon strands.

Our drink table was pretty and refreshing!

Kate, Ella and Charlie

We kept the design on the kid's table simple because we used the table to do crafts on afterward. I incorporated the Ella Grace letters in the centerpiece by mounting it on an oasis covered base. Then I added fresh white daisies and queen anne's lace.

Each child had their name written on their cup in an embellished label with a teddy bear accent.

Our main craft/activity was based on the Build a Bear craze. Each child was able to fluff and stuff a teddy bear. Instead of a heart, each child made a birthday wish on a star for Ella, then it was placed inside before we sewed the bear closed. They also filled out a bear "birth certificate". Then each party guest decorated their own little white teddy bear t-shirt. HUGE hit and this also served as their party favor. I am over giving kids bags of candy that they don't even eat or really need for that matter.

One set of our fences featured Ella's pictures from the day she was born until now. It was a fun way to show guests how much she has grown over the last year.

I searched every Goodwill and Salvation Army in the surrounding areas for almost a month looking for mismatched vintage plates. And it was worth the trouble because it went perfectly with the decor.

Ella's Mama (my BFF) created the cake topper herself!!! Isn't it adorable?!?

I wanted to do something different, so in lieu of a candy or dessert bar, we went with a cookie bar. Another huge hit with children and adults alike. Guests were invited to enjoy the cookies at the party or fill a bag with cookies to take home. There was not a single cookie left. True story. We also provided milk shooters, but it was just too warm for the milk to stay out.

Thank you so much Mary for the darling French macarons, they were delish!!! You must check out Jay's Catering for your next event, they are superb!

Don't you just love our little labels? We used Martha Stewart's punches found at Michael's for both the embellishment and the teddy bear cut out. I then added a little ribbon detail to the bears.

The birthday girl was overwhelmed by all of us singing at once. But after some hugs and kisses from her Grandpa she was good to go... and LOVED her cake.

Diane and Rudy - Calamigos Ranch Wedding in Malibu

Diane and Rudy wanted a clean, modern and simple design for their wedding held at the gorgeous Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. The color palette included shades of green from emerald to moss and crisp white with accents of chocolate brown.

Diane was simply stunning in her gown... A fresh take on the traditional, her exquisite cascading bouquet of all white dendrobium orchids and lilies.

Each bridesmaid wore a different dress in a different hue... I loved this idea and how stylish all of the girls looked together. They each carried a small nosegay of green cymbidium orchids and white hydrangea.

I love shoe shots...well, because I LOVE shoes. Diane rocked these emerald satin beauties on her wedding day...

The centerpieces featured three cylinders, ranging in height... the trio of cylinders included such florals as lush white hydrangea, green cymbidium orchids and white dendrobium orchids.

Coco Chanel French Inspired Bridal Shower at the Richard Nixon Library

This was a DREAM shoot. There really isn't another way to describe it... It was perfect and DREAMY and delicious in every way. Our inspiration was a modern Coco Chanel/Parisian influenced high end bridal shower. Our color palette was a soft, blush pink with accents of crisp white and black. It was amazing to see our ideas become a reality... Chandra of Oh Lovely Day and I dreamed up this shoot with the help of the AMAZING Jasmine Star. However, Amanda with In the Now Weddings really brought it all together with her keen eye for detail and her outrageous energy. Yes, my friends, it was a wonderful day filled with so many beautiful details...

The "guest of honor", the bride to be... the stunning Gabrielle admiring the bling on the "adorn" table.

Lush all white floral arrangements were created with lilac, hydrangea and anemones in black hobnail vases.

The "guests" were invited to adorn themselves in beautiful handmade jewelry provided by All Things Tinsel, Angel Black Designs and Renee Pawele Brides.

In lieu of a traditional guestbook, the girls wrote personal messages on vintage, French inspired postcards that were then pinned onto a wire Eiffel Tower.

Another fun station - Mixology... the girls were able to create their own custom scent.

A delicious arrangement of roses, yummy lilac, anemones, peonies and hydrangea...

The dessert table by the amazing Jay's Catering, was quite possibly one of my favorite elements of the day. It was a French dessert bar... chocolate croissants, eclairs, macarons, creme brulee, pots de chocolat, petit fours ... it was decadent and gorgeous. The table was framed by a breath taking backdrop created by Glow Concepts.

Sweet and Saucy created the cake and it could not have been more perfect for this shoot. Melody designed a modern cake with vintage Chanel accents.

Tiff and Leo's Stylishly Mismatched Wedding {Anthropologie Style}

Tiff and Leo are truly one of the sweetest couples I have ever worked with. Their wedding day style was an eclectic mix of mismatched fabrics and teacups, accented with lush floral arrangements and fun graphics. Their wedding was held on a sunny spring day at The Clarke Estate in Santa Fe Springs. And we are so happy to share that Tiff and Leo's wedding was also featured on one of our favorite blogs ever... Snippet and Ink !!!

Tiff's bouquet was a delicious mix of white dahlias, lilac, hydrangea, peach garden roses, golden yellow ranunculas, craspedia, montecassino and queen anne's lace. The stems were banded with material Tiff brought in, then wrapped with twine.

Leo's boutonniere was created with the beloved craspedia (aka billy balls) accented with white wax flower. The stem was first wrapped in the same material we used for Tiff's bouquet, then accented with twine.

We adored Tiff's style, very mismatched, vintage eclectic and soft... The aisle was lined with a baby's breath garland in lieu of rose petals. Tea cups from Tiff's bridal shower were filled with floral arrangements and hung with vintage fabric pieces off of shepard's hooks. Not one teacup arrangement was created the same...

The cheerful and vibrant bouquets contrasted beautifully against the the bridesmaids' powder blue dresses. The finishing touch - a yellow ranunculas in their hair.

The flower girls' wore baby's breath head wreaths. The ring bearer carried a nest of moss, accented with yellow button mums and montecassino.

Another one of our favorite elements from the ceremony decor was the hanging wreath that hung from the tree. Tiff and Leo sat on a bench during the ceremony in front of the tree and beneath the wreath...their own little kissing tree.

The bridal party also sat on individual benches during the ceremony - such a creative seating arrangement!

I LOVED all of Tiff and Leo's paper goods. They were so fun and fresh. Tiff's maid of honor is a

graphic designer and she lovingly created everything from the invitation to the cartoon faces

on the wedding tree guestbook.

For the escort cards, she illustrated tiny maps of the venue so that the guests would be able to find their tables and the different food stations easily.This is such a brilliant idea because guests often wander around aimlessly looking for their table. The cards were hung with tiny clothespins and twine on a fabric covered board.

The hand ripped fabric pieces were incorporated everywhere from the teacups to the parasols and bouquets.

Tiff created the table numbers and cake toppers herself with supplies she purchased from a local craft store.

The details were endless... every detail held meaning and was handmade. This truly made the wedding theirs and more special. In lieu of floral arrangements for the guest tables, Leo and Tiff used miniature fruit trees. Why? Because they started dating while they were both in college, studying nutrition. Each pot was covered in mismatched fabric. Each plant also had a tag that read "Hi, I'm a kumquat tree"... with care instructions.

Another fun personalized element, the wedding tree guestbook. Instead of a traditional guestbook, guests dipped their thumbs in paint, adding leaves to the tree and then they signed their names beneath...

We are so grateful that Erin Hearts Court was the photographer, they captured every single detail and element that made up their wedding day so perfectly. There were seriously too many images to choose from. The images are crisp, clean and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing them with us, we look forward to working with you again!!!

It's been over a month since our last blog post. But I do have a valid excuse. It's wedding season. And we were busy (so blessed). Our wedding season is slowly coming to an end and we have so much to share with you... photo shoots, weddings and parties, OH MY!!! And we are beyond excited to launch our NEW website - coming soon to a screen near you...

In the meantime, a little snippet from my little Ella-love's 1st birthday party...

Jasmine Star Workshop

I love Jasmine*, I really really do. I have been reading her blog for a couple of years now, but earlier this year I had the opportunity to meet her in person. And she is exactly like I had perceived her to be from reading her words for so long... warm, energetic, funny, friendly and just a really nice person. She is truly a genuine person who cares, which is really hard to find these days. She is a mega photography rock star in the wedding industry, yet she is still so humble and giving. I have also become a huge fan of her husband JD, who is just as warm and friendly as his beautiful wife. I had the absolute pleasure of providing a bridal bouquet for her May Photography Workshop. I really wish I would have had a chance to sit and listen to her talk about branding and letting your true self shine through your business. She is so passionate and has such a magnetic aura, I can see why many photographers flock to her workshops. Without further ado, I am so happy to share some of Jasmine's beautiful images of our floral creations...

We used gorgeous coral peonies, coral striped double ruffled tulips, roses and fragrant lilac accented with fresh green apples for our table arrangements.

The bridal bouquet was created with two dozen peach cabbage style roses, accented with white freesia and finished with a camellia leaf collar. The bouquet was created to coordinate with the original dress style which was supposed to be 1950's/Audrey Hepburn chic. However, there was a last minute dress change, but I still think the bouquet and dress went well together.

The boutonniere we created to compliment the bouquet, a peach cabbage style rose accented with white freesia and a single camellia leaf backing. The stem was wrapped in ivory satin ribbon, with a green velvet collar and accented with a little antique bling.

We actually created two bouquets for the workshop, I just couldn't decide... this is the second bouquet which was created with delicious coral peonies, accented with a camellia leaf collar. The bouquet was banded with ivory satin ribbon, with a green velvet trim ballerina wrap finished with antique bling.
