Terranea Resort Wedding - Rancho Palos Verdes

When Jackie and I first chatted, I immediately fell in love with her vision for a southern inspired wedding, with the influence and charm of Savannah, Georgia. As the design process progressed, we were able to fine tune her vision to the venue while still incorporating the southern peach elegance. The setting was the Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes - the background was the blue pacific ocean, surrounded by landscaping that resembled the beach grass found on the east coast.
Jackie and David were married on a perfect May day under the pergola set on the cliffs of Terranea. We adorned the structure with draping champagne material, lush and willowy greenery as well as flowers in shades of peach and white.

The bridesmaids carried bouquets of peach garden roses, ranunculus, tulips, coffee bean berries, dark greenery and accents of blush pink astilbe.
Jackie's bouquet was simple yet striking with all Juliet garden roses, peach coffee bean berries, along with accents of dark greenery and blush pink astilbe. We also added hanging green amaranths for a subtle spanish moss that grows from the trees in the south.

For the reception, we did a mix of high and low centerpieces incorporating again lush greenery with flowers in shades of peach and white. The look was romantic, overgrown but tailored and full. The vessels were in shades of copper and rose gold, which complimented the ballroom perfectly.

The sweetheart's table was draped in a sequin linen and we added green smilax garlands, along with candles varying in heights with fresh flowers clusters.

The tall centerpieces were created with a nod to the soft southern style, with lots of greenery, roses, viburnum, hydrangea, tulips, lisianthus, queen anne's lace and hanging amaranths. The smilax garland was wrapped around a copper stand, with the base surrounded by votive candles varying in heights and metallics.

I'm in love with this dreamy film shot by the talented Josh Elliott of the reception tables...

Wishing you both so much love and a lifetime of happiness Jackie and David in my favorite city by the bay...It was a pleasure working with you on your wedding and I miss our emails and Pinterest boards. Thank you for letting me play a small part in your special day xoxo

Many, many, many thanks to Josh Elliott for sharing his beautiful images with us!!
