When Angel from Love & Splendor first emailed me the gorgeous invitation for her sister's wedding designed by Julie Song Ink, I was in LOVE. Everything about this wedding was a dream to design for... The icing on the cake was when Angel called a few months later (!!!) and said Martha Stewart Weddings was going to publish it in their magazine. Angel provided us with inspiration and flower choices and then left it up to us to design away. This one will always hold a very special place in my heart.
Colors: vibrant pinks, yellows, tangerine, oranges, corals and greenery
Style: whimsical and fun while still being romantic and elegant.
We incorporated fresh peaches, tangerines, lemons and oranges into the designs to bring in the setting of the wedding which was held in the herb garden at the Ojai Valley Inn & Resort.

Anna's bouquet was created with garden roses, double tulips, coral charm peonies, gloriosa lilies, craspedia, bougainvillea, and ranunculus. Stems were banded with a simple ivory satin ribbon.
This is the invitation that started it all... Still so in love with Julie Song Ink's design.
For the refreshment table, we created tangerine topiraries and then I styled the drawer with fresh citrus as well as greenery and fresh flowers. This one was one of my favorite elements of the day... And the Found Rentals table completed the look so effortlessly.
In lieu of a traditional ceremony setting, Angel and Anna opted for a more intimate feel with various chaises and chairs from Found which was grouped together in front of a simple mantle for the front. We placed Anna and Sean's pictures along the mantel with floral arrangements, loose flowers as well as citrus and candles.
The reception was held under a large pergola covered in wisteria greenery, Angel added hanging globes with candles as well as paper flower garlands which added the perfect pop of color against the greenery. One extra long table was set with mismatched chairs and a runner of vibrant flowers for their 60 guests.
Every floral arrangement we designed for the long table was different...not one vase was the same. And I adored how the colors stayed the same throughout but it added texture and variety for a reception setting which is just one long table as opposed to having the same floral arrangement repeated down the center of the table. Each place setting was also varied from a small peach to tangerine with a stem of greenery or pop of bougainvillea.
Keeping with the fun citrus style, we also added bowls of fresh lemons and oranges accented with fresh greenery and flowers in clean white vessels.
The place cards for the guests were paper lemon wedges tucked onto vintage glassware.
We created a lush hanging citrus wreath that hung over the cake...
The amazing talent behind this special day...
