Timeless Love Story {Queen Mary Wedding in Long Beach}

She had me at hello... when she introduced herself as Jennifer Fasi like Fasi Bear from the Muppets then laughed like him... I immediately liked her and we clicked. Jennifer met her fiance Will online on a chat program in 1998 and had a three month blind romance (neither one even had a picture of each other) before they finally met on April 18, 1998 - and the rest is history!
They were married eleven years later on April 18, 2009 aboard the majestic Queen Mary in Long Beach. It was important to Jenn and Will to have a timeless wedding that they could look back on in 20 years and still think their wedding day was elegant and not a passing trend. They chose the Queen Mary because it figured prominently in their history together. They celebrated numerous anniversaries on the Queen Mary. They always loved the feeling of being taken away on the ship, as if they had their own little world there, their own little part of history but their own creation of the future and what their dreams and lives would be like. Will proposed to Jennifer after a lovely dinner on The Queen Mary and they immediately thought it would make the perfect wedding locale. Jennifer's vision of the day included lots of green with accents of orange, she wanted the flowers to be different and organic with a lot of texture.

Jenn's bridal bouquet was created with green kale, Brazilian berries, viburnum, safari sunset, boxwood, white peonies and lisianthis, green hydrangea, sprigs of rosemary and Italian ruskus in honor of her dad's Italian heritage. The stems were banded in a green ti leaf in lieu of ribbon.

I love her shoes!

The gorgeous bride and the beautiful Long Beach coast.

The detail of her dress is beautiful. Her veil featured the same trim.

The bridesmaid's bouquets were created with orange roses, carnations, coffee bean berries and ranunculus accented with bear grass loops and finished with a ti leaf handle wrap.

I simply adore the shots Frank Amodo, their amazing photographer got of Jenn and Will around the ship.

Jenn wanted an enchanted yet organic ceremony decor. We used grapevine to create a whimsical form around the gazebo, then added clusters of flowers dripping with hanging amaranths. The clusters were created using white hydrangea, green coffee bean berries, viburnum and seeded eucalyptus.

We used brown manzanita trees for the centerpieces. The trees were placed in green ribbon wrapped wooden boxes with the vase covered in moss. The trees featured green carnation floral pomanders with accents of orange ranunculas and hanging amaranths. Hanging candles added ambiance to the romantic setting of the Queen's Salon.

The sweetheart's table was covered in moss, with one floral arrangement in the center and accented with smaller green carnation floral pomanders and candles.

This picture of Jenn and her Dad is so touching and means so much more now that she recently lost her father this year.

The Groom's cake was AMAZING. Will is very into maps, he collects them and even has a topography map of California hanging in their living room. Jenn thought it would be fun to surprise him with a topography map of California (mountain ranges and all) with the special spots they had visited throughout the years and shared special memories. They opted to have a non traditional "wedding cake" as well. Instead of cake, they had cream puffs stacked in an Italian majolica cake plate. Another nod to Jenn's Italian roots were their wedding favors, bags of Italian wedding cookies - yum!
Love the vintage look of this shot...

Congratulations Will and Jennifer - wishing you a lifetime of happiness and love!!!

Many, MANY, many thanks to Frank Amodo for these gorgeous images. There were so many beautiful shots, I seriously had a hard time choosing. Frank Amodo flew in from Hawaii to shoot this wedding.
