Bride and Bloom Magazine Feature

It is every designer's dream, to be asked to design a table for a national magazine. It was my dream and it came true... I know I sound silly, but I am being honest and sincere. When Richelle from Bride & Bloom magazine asked me if I would be interested, it took me a few minutes to process it... and then I read the email over and OVER and over again before my fingers flew over the keyboard and responded with a...

YES, I WOULD LOVE TO!!!

.We had a few days to pull the design together. The butterflies were definitely fluttering and I was so nervous the day of the shoot. However, everything went so smoothly and the Bride and Bloom team was wonderful to work with. Our design challenge was to create a table scape based on a real couple's upcoming wedding. We took it to the next level and they loved it so much - they booked us for their March wedding at the Trump National Golf Club in Palos Verdes. And now without further ado, we are so proud and beyond happy to share these images with you...

"Modern Romance"

We were given the wedding color scheme, sky blue and chocolate brown. Alysha and John were not sure what their third color would be. They were considering cream but also wanted a color that would pop against the blue and brown. We decided to take a chance and use a rich red/burgundy color accent.

The tall centerpiece was placed on four tall cylinders filled with James Story orchids. We also incorporated the aqua/sky blue color into the centerpiece with hanging crystals.

The base of the tall centerpiece was surrounded by four smaller arrangements. We wrapped the short cylinders with coordinating ribbon and accented with a rhinestone band. The floral arrangements were created with black magic roses, burgundy cymbidium orchids, carnations and dahlias as well as red mokara orchids in a compact, pave style. The "look" was modern, clean and stylish.

The low centerpiece was created using three cylinders with submerged stems of burgundy cymbidium orchids. We incorporated the blue by adding color to the water for the floating candles placed around the centerpiece at different heights.

Our dreamy couple, Alysha & John... a shot from their "Mad Men" inspired engagement session...

With many, MANY, many heartfelt thanks to Carol Poon and Richelle Gingerich of Bride & Bloom Magazine for giving us the amazing opportunity to shine in their gorgeous magazine...

And to the talented Lauren Hillary for the gorgeous photos...
