L.A. Love Story at the Oviatt Penthouse - A Red and White Retro Chic Wedding

This is an oldie but goodie... Since I just started blogging, I never got a chance to blog
some of my favorite weddings...I would like to share Christian and Jessica's wedding with you... We bonded over our love for details and food!!!
Christian & Jessica's wedding was a day filled with lots of love, laughter and comfort food... Their vision for the day was retro chic with a downtown Los Angeles flair - a "Wonder Year Backyard BBQ". And they couldn't have chosen a more fitting location than the rooftop of the Oviatt Penthouse, with its old art deco vibe and the breathtaking views of the city.
They wanted their guests to be comfortable, share in their wedding day joy and indulge in all of their favorite foods... Enjoy!

One of my favorite shots of the day...

Christian's boutonniere was created with a red & white striped tulip accented
with beargrass and ivy leaves.

Jessica's bridal bouquet was created with over three dozen red and white striped tulips, tightly banded with red satin ribbon. The bridesmaids carried nosegays of red runnunculas tightly banded with coordinating red and white striped ribbon.

Custom designed programs featured Christian and Jessica's picture sitting on top one of their favorite foods. Keeping with the "LA chic vibe", they provided a pair
of black sunglasses for each guest.

Some of the yummy desserts featured on their dessert bar... banana cream pie parfaits and red velvet cupcakes (of course!)

Jessica at their Gourmet Hamburger Bar...
The buffet also included a gourmet salad bar, grilled corn on the cob and so much more.

Christian and his delicious gourmet burger creation.

The centerpieces were created with fresh wheatgrass and red gerbera daisies.
Instead of the traditional wedding cake, Christian and Jessica opted
for an over sized strawberry shortcake.

And the perfect ending to a perfect day...
And I must send a HUGE thank you to Kim Fox for the amazing images! It was so hard to narrow down my choices to the ones above, you are truly amazing!
